P.E.D.R.O is the joint creation of
team members Jennifer and Lisa, who founded the organization in 2002.
The founders determined a need for such a body when their twin interests
in paranormal phenomena and writing led them to a first tentative
investigation of a historic site in Neosho County, Kansas. That
experience convinced them that their study of paranormal phenomena need
not be subordinated to any single literary project (they were
researching the Bender family of Kansas serial killers at the time) but
should rather give shape to an enduring organization, the purpose of
which is to investigate paranormal phenomena and document that research.
The Paranormal Encounter Documentation Research Organization, or P.E.D.R.O, is the result.
Over the course of so many
investigations, Jennifer and Lisa encountered not only spirits, of
course, but also people, several of whom expressed an interest in
joining the group and brought to it valuable experience and assets. In
the Fall of 2004, P.E.D.R.O held its first formal organizational meeting
and accepted two new team members, Janet and Joe. Both have become
active participants in P.E.D.R.O investigations. At the same time the
group arranged for the creation of this web site as a further means of
documenting their research.
In 2009 a fifth team member was fadded! The P.E.D.R.O. team welcomed a
long-time friend and paranormal enthusiast, Dawanna!
